Totus Tuus, a Latin phrase meaning “totally yours,” was the motto of Blessed Pope John Paul II. Taken from St. Louis de Montfort’s True Devotion to Mary, it signifies our desire to give ourselves entirely to Jesus Christ through the hands of our Blessed Mother Mary. It also expresses our effort to give all that we have to every young person we encounter.
The mission of Totus Tuus is to inspire in young people entering grades 1st through 12th a true longing for holiness, a deep desire for daily conversion, and an openness to their vocation by constantly challenging them to give themselves entirely to Christ through Mary and by continually strengthening their prayer lives in imitation of Her.
Totus Tuus is a summer youth mission dedicated to sharing the Gospel and promoting the Catholic faith through evangelization, catechesis, Christian witness, and Eucharistic worship. Totus Tuus is concerned with teaching the faith and igniting the hearts of the young people and the college-aged missionaries.
The result has been the formation of young Catholics who continue to dedicate themselves to the Church's mission of evangelization.
